How we use your information
X-Lab is the provider of the NETIMIS service ("the Service"). NETIMIS is a web-based simulation software tool which offers a set of functionalities to analyse, create and edit healthcare scenarios through pathway modelling.
For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 the data controller is X-Lab Limited whose registered office is at 10C Joseph's Well, Hanover Walk, LEEDS, LS3 1AB.
This policy applies to information we collect about you if you:
- visit our website
- use or register to use the Service
- contact the X-Lab support team by email, telephone or otherwise.
Your personal information
Information you give us
You may give us information about you which may include your name, email address, organisation, phone number, job title, financial and credit card information.
Users of the Website
When someone visits the Website we collect standard internet login information including the Internet protocol address ("IP") address used to connect your computer to the Internet and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our websites. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.
Users of NETIMIS
If you are a user of the Service then we will also collect and store the information you give us including your email address and password and such other information which may be needed to provide the Service or to administer the use of the Service by its users.
You can always choose not to provide your personal information to X-Lab, but if you are a user of the Service it may mean that we are unable to provide you with the Service.
X-Lab collects your personal information so that we can provide you with the Service and any related services you may request. In doing so, X-Lab may use the personal information we have collected from you for purposes related to the Services including to:

It is your responsibility to keep your password to the Service safe. You should notify us as soon as possible if you become aware of any misuse of your password.
Disclosure of your information
We may share your information with selected third parties including:
- Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with them.
- Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site.

X-Lab holds your personal information on servers located in the European Economic Area ("the EEA")
All data, including personal and non-personal information, that is entered by you in your use of the Service, or automatically imported on your instruction, is transferred to X-Lab's servers across the Internet. By using the Service, you consent to your personal information being transferred to our servers as set out in this Policy.
Currently the servers on which your data are stored are located in the EEA and your personal information will be routed through, and stored on, those servers as part of the Service. By providing your personal information to X-Lab, you consent to X-Lab storing your personal information on servers hosted in the EEA. While your personal information will be stored on servers located in the EEA, it will remain within X-Lab's effective control at all times.
If you do not want your personal information to be transferred to a server located in the EEA, you should not provide X-Lab with your personal information or use the Service.
X-Lab takes steps to protect your Personal Information
X-Lab is committed to protecting the security of your personal information and we take all reasonable precautions to protect it from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Your personal information is stored on secure servers that have SSL Certificates issued by certificate authorities GeoTrust.
The Internet is not in itself a secure environment, so the transmission of personal information is protected with secure https connections but remains at your own risk as we cannot give an absolute assurance that your information will be secure at all times. You should only enter, or instruct the entering of, personal information to the Service within a secure environment.

X-Lab only discloses Your Personal Information in limited circumstances

You may request access to Your Personal Information

X-Lab will process your request as soon as reasonably practicable, provided we are not otherwise prevented from doing so on legal grounds. If we are unable to meet your request, we will let you know why. For example, it may be necessary for us to deny your request if it would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy or affairs of other individuals, or if it is not reasonable and practicable for us to process your request in the manner you have requested.

In providing the Service, X-Lab utilises "session cookies" so that information about you may be collected when you use the Website. A session cookie is a small unique text file placed on your device when you visit a website which enables the website to identify your device whenever you visit that website.
